must fall asleep!

a taxi is coming for us at 4am and i am still awake listening to the pounding of the rain on the roof.  i am so excited!!  even after the major battle of getting both kids to sleep, in the same bed no less, i am still much to alert.  damn.  can't wrap my mind around the fact that tomorrow i will be on a beach in mexico!
ok, i am going to close my eyes and pretend at least.

At last I move the clothes from ON TOP of the suitcases to at least half way INTO the suitcases!

I finally stopped just piling clothes on the suitcases and attempted to pack them INTO the suitcases.

Damn.

OK, let me revise my plans.  All that I planned to take for myself and two small children will not fit into two carry on bags.  Nope, no way, no how.

Double damn.

So after much thought (OK and I complained on facebook for a few minutes & my sister told me that I was freaking crazy if i did NOT take a checked bag) I decided to add a checked bag to all that I am taking.

MUCH better.  What the hell was I thinking?  A little over a month in Mexico with kids & I was trying to shove everything into...OK OK.  Never mind.

Cut to the chase.

Hello, I am going to Mexico!  And I am half way packed!  And I leave to go to Portland Saturday!  And my flight leaves at 5 :30am Sunday!  And I keep frantically going over my list in my head!

I am going to spray some more Rescue Remedy in my mouth and call it a night.  It will all work out I know...it's just that for the count down I may be on the verge of a freak out.  I need to get a grip.  It's just a trip.  It's just stuff.  Just cause I want everything to be perfect does not by any means make that magically happen AND it does NOT mean the trip sucks the big one because I have to make last minute adjustments or forgot something.

No indeedy.

EEEEK!!!  I LEAVE IN LESS THEN A WEEK!!!

institution down!

"the whole educational and professional training system is a very elaborate filter, which just weeds out people who are too independent, and who think for themselves, and who don't know how to be submissive, and so on -- because they're dysfunctional to the institutions."
